House of Good Fortune in Sherwood

More like House of Bad Fortune! If you want dog food grade meat served at premium prices this is the place for you! The chicken had the consistency of under cooked pork fat, it was so gross! I had them take it away and bring out a beef dish which was also super gelatinous and so gross I wouldn't feed it to my dog! Do yourself a favor, save some money and about eight hours in the bathroom and go to Panda Express down the street instead. It will cost you half the price and you won't spend your night on the toilet. Bad service, and even worse food!

We have lived in Sherwood for 10 years but had never eaten here. A friend recommended we give them a try as this is their go to for Chinese food. When we arrived at 7:15 pm they were half full and we were sat immediately. They seemed to either be understaffed, or had a couple of new servers as they were frantically running around trying to get peoples appetizers and food out. At one point the two tables next to us recieved the wrong food. We sat at our booth for close to 15 minutes before we ever saw a server. When the server finally acknowledged us he was very friendly and apologetic for the delay. As far as the food goes my wife had a combo meal, my son had chicken teriyaki, and I had chicken chowmein. The food presentation was good and the taste of the food was good as well. Not the best Chinese food we’ve ever had but I did enjoy my dinner.

Bad food. Mongolian beef was really mushy and greasy. Noodles were also very greasy. Would not recommend, even Panda Express is better and that's not saying much.

I am still hungry after throwing away 3/4 of my dinner. I am hoping I do not get sick tonight. The beef did not taste like beef and the chicken did not taste like chicken. I have been wanting to find better place than Panda Express in Sherwood but this does not come close to measuring up to Panda.

Food was not worth the cost, entree for $12 didn't even include rice. Side of chicken fried rice was $8! Chicken was cooked decent but I didn't really like any of their sauces. Portion size was also small but still ended up leaving a lot in the table. Overall not a place I'll ever go back to

Located in Sherwood right across the street from the movie, this restaurant has good signage and is easy to see. Ordered the moo Shu chicken and broccoli chicken. Both were okay. Also had the dumplings which were fried and were above average. Service was average overall average Chinese food.

Well, we went in, to order to go, the soup is not available for to go orders, even though we had to told we had to wait 10 min we were not allowed to have our soup that was paid for..... there was no leveling with her it was like speaking to a brick wall. we went to the dollar store and spent at least 15 min there and the food was not done. we were still waiting for an additional 15 or so, they have a weird closet that stinks like cigarettes that people play video poker in. 4 adults and 4 machines in a 6 foot by 6 foot room. anyways the egg roll and fried tortilla chip chinese thing were good, and my beef was absolute f-ing dog food. she did give us a free fried chicken ball thing with no sauce......also no forks or chop sticks or napkins

The food is very amazing. If you want to try real traditional Chinese food, this is your place. I and my family have been to so many Chinese restaurants but this place provides us the most unique taste that you can't find from anywhere. Their bbq pork is something that you have to die for.

Late lunch here today. Good food and GREAT service. Hot tea served right away. Server very helpful woth recommendations for our taste. We had mild kung pao chicken and shrimp with crispy noodles and saute vegetables. Also had egg flower and hot and sour soup. Price is medium range, but portions very ample. Had to get a box for leftovers. The interior is dated... really needs an update of carpets and lighten up the decor. Very good place for family or business lunches. They were pretty busy while we were there. Recommend this place. We will be back.

Ok so I’m not sure if I got a bum day but the “chicken” did not look like chicken. I got the curry and it was just basically fried rice with some “chicken” and shrimp. Sorry but I won’t be going back.

We have lived in Sherwood for years and finally decided to try this place. The beef was mostly fat and tasted like fish sometimes. The chicken was dry, questionable, and covered in breading. The fried rice was dry and tasteless. The potstickers barely passed edible. Do not eat here unless you are not hungry and like to throw money away!

Mediocre food, a bit over priced and TERRIBLE service! They really have no concept of it, I seriously felt like they could care less. Won't be back.

If you're looking for some good food, this is definitely not the place. I've eaten plenty of Chinese food over the years and this place is by far the worst I've ever had. I'll never eat here again.

We ordered a variety of take out dishes.The food was over cooked and dry.Not much flavor and expensive. The egg flower soup was great.Sorry to say we wont be back.

Excellent food curry chicken was delicious

Had the honey walnut prawns. They were very small prawns and tasted like they had a bit of freezer burn. Small portions. Sauce was good, not great. Service was exceptional. Never had to ask for anything. Relaxing environment. Wait staff was very friendly and paid attention to us and our needs.

I always come here on weekends when it's not busy. The service is lightning fast and the food is good for the price. However, I'm not sure what it's like on weekdays and when it gets busy.

Our favorite local Chinese restaurant. The food is consistently good. I highly recommend giving the Sizzling Rice Soup a try!

Always on the search for great restaurants my family and I ate at House Of Good Fortune, which is in the Sherwood Market Center which sits on SW Tualatin-Sherwood Road just off of Pacific Highway West.From the moment we entered the restaurant to the time we left we had the friendliest and most gracious service and attention. Our server, Steven, is amazing; he is extremely professional and fun.The restaurant is spacious and bright with plenty of seating. And the food is definitely five stars. I started with the Hot and Sour Soup which I thought had the perfect balance of both: very very delicious. I also had the Four Treasures which has a garlic brown sauce. It was incredible! All of our portions were huge and amazing. We all loved the Chicken Fried Rice: probably the best we’ve had. We’re so glad we tried it here and are planning on returning very soon.

I would always recommend this restaurant such good food and wonder staff!!!

The food was edible but I think I'd choose somewhere else next time

This was the first time we ordered from here and had our food delivered. I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken and was very disappointed. The chicken was lightly breaded which have never had before (its always sautéed) and there were no vegetables! Just cubed chicken and peanuts. My husband ordered the Pad Thai chicken and it had no peanut sauce just chopped peanuts sprinkled on it. It was bland. We won't be ordering again. :(

No respectable pieces of anything in their Hot & Sour Soup, No a single minced piece of ginger ir green onion in their Posticker Dipping Sauce, but the sticker seemed OK. There are many better chinese places. Fitting, that this minimalist place is next to Oregon DEQ. You don’t have to come here, avoid my error.

Very nice people! We were actually offered tea while we waited for our take out which hasn't happened to me before.

Great food and service, smoothies weren't to my liking though

I really love this place and lucky it’s local. However, in the last year or so something changed. The quality and delicious food has fallen by the wayside. I think I remember a change in management or significant amount of staffing back as this began. Whatever happened or changed the new people did not continue with the delicious recipes. Same items on the menu (as far as I know) buy it doesn’t taste right. Silver wrapped chicken and lemon chicken specifically. If the owners read this go back and retrain your cooks to prepare it correctly.

My husband and I went here tonight and we really enjoyed the food. The services was fast and friendly. The flavors we great and the meats were tender. The quantities of food were plenty leaving us with enough leftovers for almost another entire meal. Both my husband and I comment that we would go back for sure.

The place is a little worn looking but fairly, they have been here for a good number of years. The dinning table was a little sticky but other than that the overall experience was great. Great service, no waiting for service. Food was wonderful. Staff is always been very nice and helpful. This is a nice place to dine in or take out from.

Amazing. Have been coming here for years. They recently started offering Pho and its the best I've had. You have to try it.

Food was delicious, service not so good.Waitress brought me a glass of plumb wine and then knocked it over when she served the meal.Asked me if I wanted more wine? I said, "yes please, " then after bringing me the replacement glass for the one she knocked over she charged me for the new glass of wine. NOT COOL!

If you're craving Americanized Chinese food, this is definitely the place. We always order more than we need when we go here so that we will have leftovers. Service is friendly and extremely fast. The main woman there always remembers us, even when we have guests that haven't been in for over a year. The vegetable dishes are always crisp and perfectly cooked. Sometimes things can be a bit salty, but the portions are perfect for the price.

Ate here for the first time today and will never come back. Definitely not authentic chinese food. Chicken they use is def not chicken. It was slimey and greasy and didnt look cooked. I couldnt even eat it. I only ate my rice and veggies . also had crab puffs and they were cold and soggy. Service was ok and food came out pretty fast but it was probably old food they just microwaved thats how it was soo quick . save yourself the dissapointment and go somewhere else. This place sucks and also is way overpriced and not worth half what they are charging. 👎👎

Told me they didn't have something that was pictured on their menu, then proceeded to charge me $6 for a side that should have been either free or $1 at max.

The restaurant falsified information when It came to a dietary allergy requests. I literally asked for low sodium soy sauce and I was handed regular soy sauce with a GREEN CAP. Our server literally changed the cap on the soy sauce. Unfortunately I didn’t read the reviews until I was already sitting down and had ordered food. My beer was also expired.... maybe they don’t have a license to serve food bcuz that way they can’t be sited.

We used to eat here and get great service and food, but I am so disappointed with our visit tonight. Our chicken was rubbery, the fried shrimp was also rubbery and overcooked, the egg flour soup was very bland, and the pot stickers we're under cooked. Not only was the food terrible, but when we pointed it out to our server we got a "Yeah you're not the only one that said that today. The chef said it's the breading". Additionally, when I told the cashier that our food was inedible, all I got was an "O.K.". I paid over $50 before tip for food we didn't eat. I have never been so tempted to walk out of a restaurant. I'm so disappointed and angry with the experience we just had.
